Our Principal
Andrew Fowler-Watt was a Choral Scholar at St John's College and received scholarships to Eton and Cambridge, where he studied English. He came to Sri Lanka after teaching in renowned British Independent Schools as an English teacher, Sports Coach, Director of Drama, Housemaster, and Headmaster.
In 2007, Andrew and his wife, Vivienne decided to move overseas to become part of the growing Internationalization of the British Education system. After 4 years in Sri Lanka, as Principal of Colombo International School and The British School, he moved to Brunei to become Principal of Jerudong International School, Brunei.
In January 2016, he was delighted to move back to Sri Lanka, where he has become Principal of Trinity College, Kandy.
As the founder of Brightly College, he believes in preserving traditional values such as academic rigors, discipline, and respect while also fostering innovation, freedom of thought, and Individualism. Andrew's objective is to develop new opportunities for Sri Lanka's future. He goes a step further by developing personal relationships with students and parents and giving them one-on-one attention.
